Just like last year, I decided to do an acorn elves inktober (a global challenge for graphic artists who all draw a drawing on one specified one-word theme every day in October and then share their creation on social media), I called it oaktober – so I will draw the themes of inktober, but in conjunction with acorn elves. This is my fifth time drawing an inktober (you can peep my inktober creations from  2017, 2018, 2019, 2020). This year I’ve also decided to draw it all on my iPad in Procreate (I got it for Christmas last year and still haven’t had enough time to learn how to use it properly, so this will be a bit of a practice run for me.

Acorn elves diploma and colouring book template

It’s getting close to the time of outdoor schools and summer camps, so I’ve finally prepared a template for a acorn elves diploma so you can reward your kids in style. At the request of a fan, I also made it as a coloring page – so the kids can color their diploma accordingly. In addition to the classic image/pdf without text, I’ve added an editable template – but I didn’t have the nerve to use Microsoft Word (if anyone knows how to use it and could make a template, I’d be happy to add it to the download list), I’m incompatible with that editor. Instead, I made the template as a presentation in Google Docs, and tested the resulting exported PPTX in Libre Office, so hopefully Powerpoint from Microsoft Office can handle it.

So I wish that the children like the diploma and if you would like to give small prizes – postcards (currently the ones with camp themes are suitable), stickers, badges, small magnets, you can order them in the e-shop. Alternatively, you can read about how they are using acorn elves in schools and try some of it out at camp or at an outdoor school (and if you have other ideas, feel free to email me).

So here we are again in the era of working from home, online streaming and online teaching. Back in the spring, I was going to make “Do Not Disturb” door hangers, but by the time I got around to it, the quarantine was over. So I didn’t get around to it until this fall.

I recommend printing on harder paper (our printer can handle a drawing quarter) or after printing, glue it to a harder backing and then cut it out.

Acorn elves coloring pages

It looks like the kids are going to be home for a while longer, so I decided to create a few more acorn elves coloring pages to pass the time. Maybe this will turn into a whole book eventually. Of course you can download and print the colouring book for free, everything should be A4 size.

Autumn mobile wallpapers with acorn elves

Autumn is now beautifully colored and you can once again spruce up your phone with new acorn elves wallpapers.

Summer smartphone wallpapers

In response to numerous requests, I’m adding current summer wallpapers with acorn elves for your mobile phones. Believe me, the acorn elves are having a great summer – whether by the sea or in the forest, eating strawberries, camping, walking or playing Indian.

Game of Acorns wallpaper

Who doesn’t know Game of Thrones! Probably the most popular series nowadays, with the most controversial last season and conclusion. I’m a big fan of both the book and the series version myself, but the acorn elves, they’ve been hosting all sorts of throne battles for a long time – here’s one proof:

But back to the Game of Thrones series. Even as I was reading the book I thought of a parallel to my most famous toilet acorn elf. But I didn’t take the time to photograph it until last night. The preparations weren’t the easiest – I had to redesign the acorn elf a bit, create a staircase out of black paper, find a flashlight, pick a suitable oak leaf in the garden for the background and set up the whole scene (the books all around served as a tripod and the motorbike… that’s another movie again):

Taking pictures was quite easy and quick – I took about 20 pictures with the help of painting with light. Then I ran out of flashlight, but luckily I had a usable shot:

The next day I just played around with it in Photoshop for an hour and this result came out – I was pleasantly surprised myself.
